These are the same basic principles used by professional jewelry designers.
Knowing these principles is specially helpful when you are trying to come up with a workable design solution.

Necklaces simple making :
1 You will make three different strands.
For the first strand, place the following, in order, on an eye pin: a second eye pin, followed by a black pyramid bead, a
silver tube bead, and a crimp bead. Hammer the end of the first eye pin to flatten it, then file the rough ends.
2 On the second eye pin, slip a third eye pin, followed by three gray tube beads, a silver tube bead, and a crimp
bead. As before, flatten and file the end of the second eye pin.

3 On the third eye pin, repeat what you did with the first eye pin. With the fourth eye pin, repeat what you did
with the second eye pin. Keep alternating bead patterns until you've used 19 eye pins. Don't add an eye pin to the 19th eye
pin, only a black pyramid bead, a silver tube bead, and a crimp bead. Finish the end of the last eye pin with a loop.
4.For the second strand, work in the same manner as the first strand, but with a different bead patten. On me first
eye pin, add a second eye pin, then three gray tube beads, a silver tube bead, and a crimp bead. Hammer and file as before. On
the second eye pin, add the third eye pin, a white glass bead, a silver tube bead, and a crimp bead. Hammer and file the end. On
the third eye pin, repeat what you added to the first eye pin in this strand. On the fourth, add a red glass bead, a silver tube
bead, and a crimp. Again, hammer and file.
